Ever felt like you’re that invisible friend, the doormat to be walked on and treated with tolerance because you felt like everyone was better than you? Have you ever thought you were surrounded by talent and achievement, each a force to reckon with on their own while you have nothing figured out for your own part, ever felt that you were wasting away because you’re out of your elements and all you do each day is survive and hope that one day you’ll find your relevance? Do you feel you talk but no one listens so you keep silent and smile like you’re contented to be the target practice for tolerant disdain? Whenever you tried to talk about it nobody takes you seriously because of your outwardly gruff personality and the fact that you and your friends just don’t ‘roll that way’. You never get anything right and it’s not cute, being stupid isn’t, the bottom of the food chain isn’t either, one doth get tired of being looked at in a mixture of pity and contempt.
The vision of paradise holds many different views for many different and what more could be closer to paradise than love itself, one wise person said it makes the world go round but where we go wrong is when we search for love in another without loving ourselves first, a quick question, can we honestly say we love ourselves? Can I in truth say that even though there’s room for much improvement, I wouldn’t want to change for anything or anyone in the world. Looking for love or value or respect in another without having any of these virtues for yourself can be damaging, it can create a dependent state so much so that you choke the individual because you look up to them. There’s something lovable about you. One of my favourite musicians (and I a quiver full of them) said or sang that learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all, I don’t think she took it to heart though looking at her life in general, truth is most of us fail at this even if we refuse to admit it for the fear of being termed overly emotional and for others, it’s just being to lazy to work on one’s self but the truth is, if you believe that you’re beautiful, belive that you’re unique, if you don’t listen to voices telling you that you’re just a random face of the 7000000000+ on the globe, fall in love with yourself, then you don’t have to wait for heaven to experience paradise, you wouldn’t need to search for paradise because you would already be living in it.
