Hey loves! I’m going to talk about something I don’t usually share on here lol, it’s like a sneak peek into my “love-life”.
Deep sighhhhh (Lol this is taking a lot out of me to share, but I love you guys, so, here it goes).
So I’m in my 20s right? What many people refer to as “The Prime” in relation to your timeline to find a life partner; as par, you’re done with primary education, now a career person, living on your own terms…basically a ripe juicy Apple fresh for the picking. 😂
Let me tell you something from the girl’s side – this is a tough period. Forget all the fun I appear to be having, going on dates and meeting new people has its fun side, but it also has stress, because honestly I don’t like making it seem like I’m leading people on, it’s such a big issue for me. But then how do you get to know people if you don’t give them a chance? So the difficulty lies in striking a healthy balance between these two sides – and sometimes even if you do, people still get hurt in the process, which is not intended but is a probability that must be factored in regardless.
How do you choose between several nice people? It’s a lot easier when there are clear contraindications like being an illegal substance user, like duh; but when the people contending are actually decent human beings, it becomes 10 times harder.
So you seek for advice. You tell people you trust and you pray; and then you get differing advice from different people. So you’re back to square one. Lol.
Now you come to God and tell Him how far; but in your heart there’s one you want God to pick – so you’re biased from the onset and one day the sun shines on the person right after a rainstorm and it looks like God is spotlighting the person and you take it as your sign because you want a yes so bad….sigh.
It’s a tough time. Do I have all the answers? Of course not otherwise I’d be talking from marriage 😂😂😂
This is just me sharing a little of my internal struggles, to make sure y’all know I’m human too and more specifically, I’m a woman of reproductive age as my friend Modupe would say 😅
Will I have the answers soon? Who knows, besides God!
