Heyyyy !
Today I got a much needed chance to blow off some steam and I grabbed it with both hands! This week was intense for me, filled with lots of high emotions, so taking time off was definitely necessary.
Started my day with a conversation with my Big Guy Upstairs, had some breakfast and headed off to the GTB Fashion Weekend! My friend Nife Fadairo, who is also a keen supporter of this blog, came through with a press pass for me and I got to attend Taofeek Abijiako’s Masterclass! For those of us who don’t know Taofeek, he’s a Nigerian 20 year old fashion designer that’s the youngest designer to present on the Men’s New York Fashion Week Runway! He’s been recognized by many well acclaimed celebrities and owns a streetwear brand called Head of State+. The masterclass was about how he started out in the fashion industry and I loveeee how transparent he was! He told us about his humble beginnings when he grew up in Lagos and the literal steps he took towards building his brand. Worthy of note: Taofeek didn’t go to fashion or design school – he learnt on the go – totally amazing!

After a great time at the masterclass, I met up with my wedding partner Adeola Odeleye and we headed to our class mate, Kunle Ojetokun’s, elder sister’s wedding! In one day I met 5 people from my secondary school lol.

The turn up was real and highly needed; I got home feeling a lot more relaxed than I left; I hope you all have ready-to-go-to destress mechanisms – they’re necessary!
