You will never be able to empathise, fathom or comprehend my pain
A man lecturing mothers on childbirth
A chicken teaching a bird to fly
It is for this reason that I
Prefer to be left alone
I find solace in solitude
My feelings confuse me
How do you explain to someone that you hate yourself
That every breath you take if full of self- loathing
That each day you live is in spite of yourself
Self harm helps little
I hate the wretch in the mirror
Constantly judging me with those stained glass windows called eyes
I’m both winning and losing this battle simultaneously
Drowning in a sea of feelings
It gets better they say
And I honestly try to believe this
But I just don’t see it
Maybe I will
Someday
Somehow.
