    I find this very hilarious and right on time. I recently just transitioned and I have people asking me ‘why don’t u relax your hair, it would look better and not tacky. You can just blow it and cut Anita backer’and am like Come, is it on your head, how does it affect you? I am really looking forward to the way you look post. I bet it would be interesting.

    Great write up! We cannot totally eliminate these “queries” – genuine or not. But we can be graceful in answering them while maintaining a firm stand in a world that is increasingly materialistic. After awhile, they tend to just ease off a bit when they see that you are “incorrigible”.

    God bless you for staying true to what you believe, I know some will say it’s not about dressing but the heart, but I can tell you that, person’s dressing can explain what is in the heart. Many of the ladies have given up because they can’t stand the insults and many more are about to give up, but with this kind of write up, it will encourage other ladies who are about to give up, not only deeper life members but other churches that follow the true dressing. God bless you ones again.

    Hey girl! Saw your write up shared as a link by my former youth pastor while I was in deeper life. I grew up there, yes. And I enjoyed myself. It’s not all beautiful stories, there’s no place where u have it all good on this side of eternity. But its a foundation I’m glad I have. Now I do wear make up and make my hair. But my point is to encourage you to stay true to your convictions. It’s your personal decision.
    But don’t be a non make up girl without a clean and pure heart, as that is the true essence of our faith in Christ. Whether you wear or do not wear makeup, be true to Christ, be true to your faith, be true to your convictions. God bless you dear. By the way I love that picture of yours.

      Good piece. I am still battling with the conviction on deeper life christian dressing. I am in the states now. I have seen good christians ladies in the States here who are living for Christ yet put on make-up and pants (trousers).

      I am christian young man who believes in holiness and purity of life. But my convictions on christian dressing- wearing of trousers, make-up, making your hair and likes are shaky now.

      I hope to marry in the church. Please help me.

        She died a shameful death, dogs ate her body, surprisingly the dogs refused to eat the painted part of her body! even dogs despised her make up and painted feet & palms!

        Every child of God owes HIM a duty to keep His commandments from Genesis to revelation.

        “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

        It is also our reasonable service unto God to present our body as a living sacrifice.

        “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
        ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        What is a sacrifice?
        SACRIFICE: an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy. Giving up the wearing of a trouser, can be considered as a sacrifice in our generation.

        God told Abraham to sacrificed Isaac, he obeyed.

        “Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”
        ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Moses did as the LORD commanded:

        “And Moses did so: as the Lord commanded him, so did he.”
        ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        All the saints of old are now resting with the LORD.
        It is time for us to start to do, as the LORD commanded us in our own generation.

        “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
        ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”

  23. This summarises my experience in the office earlier in the day. It’s just one of the many discriminatory stances Christians of other denominations, and even Muslims take against Deeper Life members. Nice piece my dear. Deeper-lifers are not savages.

    My dear, you are right to some extent. However, what makes you a Deeperlifer isn’t your look, but what you carry inside! I’m not against moderate dressing but a witch can also dress same way! In fact, anywhere external appearance becomes a way of identification, you see all sorts of pretending witches and wizards, etc hiding there. Afterall, they are conforming. Apart from this, the bible teaches unity and not uniformity. The most important thing in Christian dressing is following the principles stated in the bible and not impose a code of dressing on people . So my dear, you are free to dress the way you like as long as it is not against the will of God but other ladies don’t have to dress and look like you . Moreover, there is nowhere the bible is against most of the things you mentioned. Go through your bible again but don’t read it with your denominational glasses! Shalom.

      You are right to some extent but the fact is that the motive behind your comment isn’t corresponding with the motive behind hers. I don’t think you read the post well, she’s talking about her own experiences, not telling people what to do or believe in, she’s talking about what she’s been through, other people read the post, understood and related but I guess you didn’t understand but you were quick to have your say and not understand before doing so. So I advise you to read the post again and make sure you put on a pair of glasses of understanding! Shalom!

      What DeeperLife, (not as a denomination) means to me, is simply beyond the surface. Holiness within and without in short; is what I personally understood as deeper life.

      My duties as a child of God is to inform all living human beings that they are fearfully and wonderfully made according to the Word of God

      “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
      ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬.

      God Almighty created us and said emphatically that we are VERY GOOD,
      “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…..
      ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

      Why then do we still add sugar to honey? There is no need for that at all.

      I am sorry, I have never met a witch or wizard before, so I don’t know what they look like in the outside. But my God commanded me to:

      “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬.

      The blog and the content is to create awareness, for people to know who they are in Christ; it is not to impose on anyone. They can then search the scriptures for themselves.

    I however observed that some of the ladies that don’t wear make up and the likes actually wore it in their heart.

    Hallelujah ladies, please be proud of ur NATURAL HAIR if u know what Heaven is saying/ Pronouncing about u.I hate paming of HAIR even b4 I got Born-Again. Since 1994 April that have gave my life to JESUS, he had plainly told me paming of HAIR or adding attachment are Demonic.
    Even now research shows that those things caused Cancer of Head. God help us.
