The highly sensitive and compelling Omodolapo Kuforiji aka Kitike, 24, is a very gifted singer who does Music for the true passion of it. She is a talented vocalist who has found her voice in the kind of music that speaks directly to the soul without trying so hard to do so.
Her music is deeply influenced by such singers as Simi, Alessia Cara and Corinne Bailey Rae. She sings and writes in both English and Yoruba and combines the intricacies of both languages to produce spellbinding melodies and deeply engaging lyrics.
Kitike is endearingly experimental in her songwriting and at the same time aims visibly at stability which is how you’ll know she is an artiste that has come to stay. And which is very uncommon among up-and-coming artistes of today. Social media strategist by day and artiste by night and day, Dolapo combines an entrepreneurial life with a musical career and it’s always exciting to see how she not only effortlessly combines both but also how each helps develop the other.
